About FLS & Official Documentation

Built by managers, for managers. The ultimate simulation sandbox.

The Ultimate Sandbox Was Missing. So We Built It.

Football League Simulator (FLS) was born from a shared passion and a simple realization. As football tacticians and league organizers, we scoured the web for a truly comprehensive, customizable, and realistic league management tool.

What did we find? Basic bracket generators, isolated text-based match engines, and rigid platforms that forced us to play by their rules. There was no complete solution on the market that allowed us to create custom players, tweak advanced tactical behaviors, and run full-scale dynamic seasons all in one place.

So, we took matters into our own hands. FLS is designed to be the ultimate football sandbox. Whether you want to recreate historic tournaments, manage a fictional draft league with your friends, or test deep statistical algorithms through our simulation engine, we built the platform we always wanted to use.

Comprehensive Guide to FLS Mechanics

1. The Creation Center & Custom Datasets

The core of Football League Simulator lies in its Creation Center. Unlike other platforms, FLS does not lock you into a predefined universe. Users can build their own custom datasets from scratch or clone existing ones from the Community Hub. A dataset contains your custom clubs, national teams, and individual players.

When creating players, you define their fundamental attributes: Pace, Shooting, Passing, Dribbling, Defending, and Physic for outfield players; and Diving, Handling, Kicking, Reflexes, Speed, and Positioning for Goalkeepers. Our system automatically calculates a dynamic Overall (OVR) rating weighted specifically by the player's primary position.

2. The Algorithmic Match Engine

At the heart of FLS is a custom-built Probability Match Engine powered by a complex Markov chain system. When you simulate a match, the algorithm does not just produce a random scoreline. It processes the game minute-by-minute, constantly evaluating the transition of possession between different areas of the pitch (Defense, Midfield, Attack).

3. Player Attributes & Dynamic Fatigue

A team of superstars will only perform well if their stamina holds up. FLS integrates a highly advanced Dynamic Fatigue System. For every minute played, a player loses energy based on their Physic attribute. A player with 90 Physic will maintain their peak performance much deeper into the match than a player with 50 Physic.

As energy depletes, a player's effectiveness in mathematical duels drops significantly, rendering them vulnerable to fresh opposing substitutes. This makes squad rotation and stamina management critical components of a successful long-term strategy.

4. Tactical Management & Automated Substitutions

Managing a 90-minute simulation requires adaptability. FLS handles this via an Intelligent Automated Substitution Engine. The AI constantly monitors the pitch for fatigued or underperforming players.

Utilizing the standard 3 substitution windows, the engine automatically injects fresh players from your bench when your starters hit a critical fatigue threshold (usually around the 55th to 70th minute). Furthermore, in the event of an injury or a red card, the engine dynamically reshuffles the active lineup to maintain structural integrity.

5. League Progression & Tournaments

Once your teams are ready, you can deploy them into custom Leagues and Tournaments. FLS supports multi-division structures with promotion/relegation mechanics, domestic cups, and international World Cup formats.
